Community Leader
Meet Candidate
Makana Paris knows what West Oʻahu families are going through because he has lived it. Raised farming and fishing in West Oʻahu, educated in local schools, and tested by hardship, Makana understands the pressure families feel when housing is too expensive, traffic is too heavy, schools need support, and government feels too far away. Makana has spent his life showing up for the community. From working with churches, unions, Hawaiian civic clubs, neighborhood leaders, and community organizations to bring people together and solve problems. Now he is running for the State House to make government work harder for ʻEwa and Kapolei families. His priorities are practical. He wants to focus on lowering the cost of living, building homes and rentals local families can afford, improving roads and infrastructure, strengthening schools, supporting safer neighborhoods, and creating good local jobs. West Oʻahu deserves more than complaints and empty promises. We need a representative who can listen, work with people, move government, and deliver results. Makana Paris is running to help build a future where local families can afford to stay, our keiki can thrive, our kūpuna can age with dignity, and West Oʻahu gets the respect and investment it deserves.
